Advocacy Day 2008 Agenda
The general schedule is as follows:
Sunday, March 9th, 2008
Arrive in Washington, DC
Training for all participants begins early Monday morning. We encourage you to plan on arriving in Washington DC on Sunday.
Monday, March 10th, 2008
Advocacy Training for All Participants
Starting at around 8:00am, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will conduct
training on everything you need to know to make the meetings with your
Members of Congress successful. The training will take place at the L'Enfant
Plaza Hotel, located at 480 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC. The detailed
training agenda will be available upon check-in at the Pancreatic Cancer
Action Network Welcome Desk located on the Lobby floor outside the Marquette
Meeting Room. Note: Training attendance is mandatory for all Advocacy Day
participants. Dinner on Monday evening is on your own so that you can enjoy
one of DC's great restaurants.
Tuesday, March 11th, 2008
Advocacy Day
This is the big day! The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will set up
meetings for you with your Members of Congress between 9:00am and 4:00pm.
The meetings will take place on Capitol Hill. Organized transportation will
be provided from the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel to Capitol Hill. Please do not
plan to leave for the airport until after 5:00pm.
Dress code: Business casual for the training on March 10th; Business or
business casual for the meetings with Members of Congress on March 11th.
Please make sure to pack an umbrella, a coat and comfortable shoes.
