Understand Your Risk, Recognize the Symptoms
RISKS

Certain risk factors for pancreatic cancer may increase the likelihood of getting pancreatic cancer, like family history, race or ethnicity, smoking, diabetes, obesity, age and others. Visiting regularly with a primary care provider is an important part of prevention. They can help you maintain wellness and understand personal risk, based on family history, pre-existing conditions and more.

SYMPTOMS
Pancreatic cancer may cause only vague symptoms that could be confused with many other abdominal or gastrointestinal issues. It’s important to listen to your body and talk to your doctor about pancreatic cancer if you experience any of the following warning signs.

For me, it’s all about community. Every year, there are people who come to PurpleStride for the first time, whether they’re facing a new diagnosis or honoring someone they’ve lost. We bond quickly through our shared experiences, and this allows us to provide strength and support to each other.

When we look beyond the percentages, we find hope and hard work and meaning. There is life-changing, history-making, progress.
And for those who’ve lost someone they love, there is community, comfort and support.
This is the story that we tell – as one.
