“When my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the first place we turned for more information was the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Our doctor told us about PALS, and they held our family's hand through my mom's entire illness. They answered questions about the chemotherapy and even helped us with diet and nutrition facts. When my mom passed away, they even sent us a kit with purple ribbons and donation cards so that our guests at Mom’s funeral could show their support for the fight against pancreatic cancer.  After the funeral, I felt like I wanted to do more but wasn’t sure what to do.  I was thrilled when I found out that I could set up a tribute fundraising site to honor my mom’s memory through the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  What a wonderful way to be able to have everyone that loved Mom keep paying tribute to her on birthdays and other special days throughout the year.”
