Tempur-Pedic International Inc., the leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of premium mattresses and pillows worldwide, continues to serve as the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s leading corporate champion. With a total financial impact of more than $2.1 million to date, Tempur-Pedic raises awareness and maximizes financial support for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by providing its retailers and customers with ways to join the fight against pancreatic cancer.

In its latest show of support, Tempur-Pedic funded an inaugural $1 million Research Acceleration Network (RAN) Grant. RAN Grants provide funding and strategic project management support to a research project with the potential to double the survival of pancreatic cancer by 2020. One RAN grant provides $1 million in funding over a one-to-three year period for a multi-institutional team project. The projects consist of at least two co-principal investigators from distinct institutions and include a clinical component with an endpoint goal oriented to improving detection or treatment of pancreatic cancer. The funding of this grant completes Tempur-Pedic’s support of the entire suite of grant mechanisms available.
