“I feel strongly that it's my mission to be an advocate, a voice, because so many pancreatic cancer patients don't get the opportunity to do so. So many wonderful people have come into my life, whom I never would have met otherwise. It fills my heart with joy when new volunteers say ‘I want to become part of this group, and make a difference, like you are!’ Our affiliate has made an impact building awareness, fund raising, and equally important, creating a real community for survivors, families and friends.”

PurpleStride Kansas City 2014

Your time and efforts, volunteering, fundraising and raising awareness truly contributed to our mission to double pancreatic survival by 2020.

We couldn't have done it without the support of all of our participants, volunteers, team captains, and sponsors.  The event had more than 2,600 participants and raised more than $295,000.

For photos from the event, visit www.purplestride.org.

PurpleLight Kansas City 2014

Kansas City came together to honor, inspire and remember all those affected by pancreatic cancer at PurpleLight on October 26, 2014. Survivors, family and friends illuminated purple glow sticks as they heard their loved ones’ names read aloud, helping to light the night purple. Kansas City was joined by thousands of participants at more than 45 PurpleLight events across the country, bringing solidarity, comfort and hope to the pancreatic cancer community.

Photos will be posted at www.purplelight.org when they are available.
