“I feel strongly that it's my mission to be an advocate, a voice, because so many pancreatic cancer patients don't get the opportunity to do so. So many wonderful people have come into my life, whom I never would have met otherwise. It fills my heart with joy when new volunteers say ‘I want to become part of this group, and make a difference, like you are!’ Our affiliate has made an impact building awareness, fund raising, and equally important, creating a real community for survivors, families and friends.”

PurpleStride Maryland 2015

PurpleStride Maryland 2015 was a wonderful and inspiring day! This year's 5K run and family-friendly walk was hosted at Community College of Baltimore County-Catonsville . Over 1,100 participants showed up to turn Baltimore purple on October 11. Together they raised more than $197,000 - and we're still counting! Needless to say, the event was a huge success!  Stay tuned here for event photos and updates!

We'd like to thank our presenting sponsor, Edward J. Friedman Foundation, Inc., whose support truly made an impact in the success of this event.

PurpleLight Baltimore 2015

Baltimore came together to honor, inspire and remember all those affected by pancreatic cancer at PurpleLight this March. Survivors, family and friends illuminated purple glow sticks as they heard their loved ones’ names read aloud, helping to light the night purple. Baltimore was joined by thousands of participants at more than 20 PurpleLight events across the country, bringing solidarity, comfort and hope to the pancreatic cancer community.

Photos will be posted at www.purplelight.org when they are available.
