“I feel strongly that it's my mission to be an advocate, a voice, because so many pancreatic cancer patients don't get the opportunity to do so. So many wonderful people have come into my life, whom I never would have met otherwise. It fills my heart with joy when new volunteers say ‘I want to become part of this group, and make a difference, like you are!’ Our affiliate has made an impact building awareness, fund raising, and equally important, creating a real community for survivors, families and friends.”

PurpleLight Madison 2014

Madison came together to honor, inspire and remember all those affected by pancreatic cancer at PurpleLight on October 26, 2014. Survivors, family and friends illuminated purple glow sticks as they heard their loved ones’ names read aloud, helping to light the night purple. Madison was joined by thousands of participants at more than 45 PurpleLight events across the country, bringing solidarity, comfort and hope to the pancreatic cancer community.

Photos will be posted at www.purplelight.org when they are available.

PurpleStride Madison 2014

PurpleStride Madison 2014 was a wonderful and inspiring day! This year's 5K and 2-mile run/walk was hosted at The Duck Pond at Warner Park. Nearly 2,300 participants showed up to turn Madison purple on April 27. Together they raised more than $246,000. Needless to say, the event was a huge success!
