The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network provides direct research funding through a rigorous peer-reviewed system to ensure selection of the highest quality science. Since 2003, we have partnered with the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) for rigorous peer-review and administration of our research grants. To date, we have funded 47 pancreatic cancer research grants, totaling nearly $5 million.
The grants program is designed to:
• Stimulate innovative research on pancreatic cancer.
• Build a cadre of scientists dedicated to pancreatic cancer research.
• Foster collaborations across disciplines and institutions.
The ultimate goal is to expedite scientific progress and medical breakthroughs that maximize patient benefit.
In addition to providing financial support for needed research, our Grants Program provides grantees with opportunities for professional development, mentorships and networking in order to support their career development and build the capacity of the pancreatic cancer research community.
