“I feel strongly that it's my mission to be an advocate, a voice, because so many pancreatic cancer patients don't get the opportunity to do so. So many wonderful people have come into my life, whom I never would have met otherwise. It fills my heart with joy when new volunteers say ‘I want to become part of this group, and make a difference, like you are!’ Our affiliate has made an impact building awareness, fund raising, and equally important, creating a real community for survivors, families and friends.”

PurpleLight Indianapolis 2014

Indianapolis came together to honor, inspire and remember all those affected by pancreatic cancer at PurpleLight on October 26, 2014. Survivors, family and friends illuminated purple glow sticks as they heard their loved ones’ names read aloud, helping to light the night purple. Indianapolis was joined by thousands of participants at more than 45 PurpleLight events across the country, bringing solidarity, comfort and hope to the pancreatic cancer community.

Photos will be posted at www.purplelight.org when they are available.

PurpleStride Indianapolis 2014

Purplestride Indianapolis was a great success! The 5K run and family-friendly walk took place at IUPUI Wood Fountain. The event raised more than $121,000.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and took a stride with us to help fight pancreatic cancer! For more information on this vent, visit www.purplestride.org/indianapolis
