“I feel strongly that it's my mission to be an advocate, a voice, because so many pancreatic cancer patients don't get the opportunity to do so. So many wonderful people have come into my life, whom I never would have met otherwise. It fills my heart with joy when new volunteers say ‘I want to become part of this group, and make a difference, like you are!’ Our affiliate has made an impact building awareness, fund raising, and equally important, creating a real community for survivors, families and friends.”

PurpleStride Broward-Palm Beach was a Huge Success!

PurpleStride Broward-Palm Beach was an incredible day! Thank you so much to all of the volunteers, donors, participants and survivors that made the event a huge success.

Because of your efforts, we raised over $156,000 for the fight against pancreatic cancer! We'd also like extend our gratitute to Memorial Healthcare System for being our presenting sponsor and for all of your help with this event. Thank you everyone!

We are still short of our goal! Please continue to check back on our progress and send friends and family to donate at www.purplestride.org/browardpalmbeach.

PurpleLight Broward-Palm Beach 2015

Broward-Palm Beach came together to honor, inspire and remember all those affected by pancreatic cancer at PurpleLight on March 1, 2015. Survivors, family and friends illuminated purple glow sticks as they heard their loved ones’ names read aloud, helping to light the night purple. Broward-Palm Beach was joined by thousands of participants at more than 20 PurpleLight events across the country, bringing solidarity, comfort and hope to the pancreatic cancer community.

Photos will be posted at www.purplelight.org when they are available.
