“I feel strongly that it's my mission to be an advocate, a voice, because so many pancreatic cancer patients don't get the opportunity to do so. So many wonderful people have come into my life, whom I never would have met otherwise. It fills my heart with joy when new volunteers say ‘I want to become part of this group, and make a difference, like you are!’ Our affiliate has made an impact building awareness, fund raising, and equally important, creating a real community for survivors, families and friends.”

PurpleStride San Antonio 2014

PurpleStride San Antonio 2014 was a powerful and inspiring day. More than 1,500 participants gathered in Retama Park to create hope for the pancreatic cancer community.

Participants, sponsors, and donors rallied together to raise more than $142,000. The event was so successful that the goal was increased several times leading up to event-day!

Thank you to all who supported the event by taking strides to fight pancreatic cancer.

PurpleLight San Antonio 2015

San Antonio came together to honor, inspire and remember all those affected by pancreatic cancer at PurpleLight on March 1, 2015. Survivors, family and friends illuminated purple glow sticks as they heard their loved ones’ names read aloud, helping to light the night purple. San Antonio was joined by thousands of participants at more than 20 PurpleLight events across the country, bringing solidarity, comfort and hope to the pancreatic cancer community.

Photos will be posted at www.purplelight.org when they are available.
