Ashlin is known for her positive outlook and passion for motivating and inspiring others. She started volunteering when her father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and she learned how little was being done to treat the disease.
She saw how funding and general awareness was changing the outcome for other cancers and wanted to get involved to make a change for pancreatic cancer.
When asked about her volunteer experience, Ashlin mentioned the strong elements of community and willingness of people to give it their all to fight for change:
“Our community is strong and determined to make a difference. I am inspired by those who are helping us in this fight, out of the kindness of their hearts and by the survivors who serve as reminders that we need to increase funding and awareness for pancreatic cancer. We need more survivors!”
