Public Access Publication Policy
PanCAN funds grants for biomedical research to better understand the causes of pancreatic cancer and to advance its prevention, detection, treatment and cure. The main output of this research is new knowledge.
To ensure this knowledge can be accessed, read, applied and built upon in fulfillment of our goals, PanCAN expects its researchers to publish their findings in peer-reviewed journals. Our grantees' published manuscripts are made publicly available through the National Institutes of Health's PubMed Central (PMC).
PanCAN also recommends use of the free Open Science Framework (OSF), which helps enhance transparency, foster collaboration across institutions, and increase the visibility of the PI's research.
