Cooking. Comfort. Care. Recipes

The diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, at any stage, can create challenges in a patient’s diet and change nutritional needs. But healthy eating and getting ongoing good nutrition are an important part of the overall management of cancer.

Last fall, the Cooking. Comfort. Care. Nourishment for the Pancreatic Cancer Fight program tapped into the expertise of a panel of professionals to develop special recipes and tips to help pancreatic cancer patients manage the unique nutritional challenges they may face during the holiday season – while enjoying delicious meals.

Now we’re expanding Cooking. Comfort. Care. to provide patients and their caregivers with a wide range of recipes – including breakfast, lunch, dinner and side options – to make sure they have the resources to make healthy, tasty, memorable dishes for any meal of the day.

Celgene has once again teamed up with nationally recognized culinary expert Chef Michael Ferraro; Jessica Iannotta, RD, CSO, a registered oncology dietitian with Savor Health, a national provider of a comprehensive range of nutritional solutions for the cancer patient; and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to create these new dishes. All have collaborated to create a number of new recipes, which you can find following the video below, along with some great holiday and seasonal options. Other helpful resources are the previously offered tips to help address nutritional issues and tips for managing nutritional needs during the holidays.

New recipes include Apple Butternut Squash Pancakes, Pastiera (pasta egg bake), Thanksgiving Meatballs, Maple Green Beans and Carrot Purée.
