For the 17th consecutive year, PanCAN has earned Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four-stars. The distinction is one that fewer than 1% of charities evaluated can claim and means PanCAN has taken the steps to show our donors and constituents that we are accountable, transparent and financially healthy.
The letter we received from Charity Navigator states that: “The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network outperforms most other charities in America. This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
Only 21 of the more than 9,000 organizations that Charity Navigator evaluates have received a four-star rating for 17 years in a row.
This honorable distinction matters greatly to PanCAN, as Charity Navigator is the world’s largest independent nonprofit evaluator. They provide donors of all giving levels with free access to data and resources to guide their philanthropic decision-making. Using a data-driven approach, Charity Navigator’s rankings provide clear, objective, and reliable assessments of the financial health, accountability and transparency of charities throughout the United States.
By using Charity Navigator’s ratings, donors can learn how a charity compares with other organizations throughout the country. Detailed metrics for PanCAN’s most recent four-star rating can be found on Charity Navigator’s website.
“We know our generous donors trust us to be responsible with their gifts and we are committed to transparency in how we steward those funds in our work to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients,” said Julie Fleshman, JD, MBA, president and CEO of PanCAN. “I’m extremely proud to report this most recent news from Charity Navigator.”
