In our continued observance of Black History Month, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network recently spoke with supporter Saundra Thomas. Saundra is a 30-year career communicator and serves as vice president of Community Affairs at WABC-TV in New York City. She’s been an instrumental part of our media outreach efforts for PurpleStride New York and PurpleStride New Jersey.
Watch Saundra talk about her music icon Sharon Jones, the fiery Grammy-nominated singer who passed away from pancreatic cancer last November.
Pancreatic cancer remains the third leading cause of cancer-related death in the country. By getting involved in your local community today, you will help improve patient outcomes so that we can celebrate the lives, instead of mourning the deaths, of all pancreatic cancer trailblazers.
