1. Shop till You Drop
Let people know you are a part of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s (PanCAN) purple army by getting your favorite goods at the Shop Purple tent. There will be loads of fun and stylish swag available for purchase. It is a great way to snag that tee you’ve always wanted, while avoiding the shipping and extra charges when you order online.
2. Be a VIP for the Day
The purple carpet will be rolled out for all participants and teams. Come by for a premiere photo-op in front of the Step-and-Repeat area.
3. Pants Off Racing
It sounds suspicious, but this is a G-rated event tent. Play your hand at cornhole and other fun games before and after the race.
4. Fun for Kids
The Purple Play Zone is an event space made with children in mind. There are two inflatable bouncers as well as a Cinco de Mayo-themed craft center.
5. Keep Calm and Enjoy Food Trucks
The average person walking or running the 5k will burn around 300 calories. Head over to the food trucks to get some tasty bites and carb load for the big walk. All kinds of eats and drinks will be available for purchase.
6. Leave Your Mark
Before you start moving your legs, get your blood pumping by decorating the City of Hope and PanCAN Collaboration Art Wall. It’s your chance to leave your mark on PurpleStride LA 2018 about why you’re participating, while also flexing your art muscles.
7. Party like a Rock Star
Everyone at PurpleStride LA is a rock star and to be the real deal, you need a cool tattoo. Active Airbrush will be offering free (and temporary) tattoos. Also, if you really love their work, you can get your team name or other phrase painted on a hat. Active Airbrush will donate $4 from every hat sold straight to PanCAN, so stock up!
8. It’s Okay to Be Fashionably Late
It’s not too late to join in the fun. You can still register for PurpleStride Los Angeles as an individual or as a team. Register now!
