As we look back on 2018, we’re pleased to share with you the top social media posts that resonated with the community this year.
Media outlets across the nation supported World Pancreatic Cancer Day by wearing purple on air and interviewing those impacted by the disease. This year, advocates appeared with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America to raise awareness.
What will lead to better treatments and results for patients? Clinical research. This year, survivor Matt Wilson discussed the important role clinical trial participants play in discovering new and better treatment options.

From sporting purple wigs to participating in Zumbathons and more, people showed their purple spirit in many creative ways. These beautifully decorated and symbolic cookies, in particular, were a real treat among the community.
The community is one that knows how to stay informed with the latest news in pancreatic cancer research and treatment. Among this year’s top social media stories was the announcement that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved Lutathera® to treat pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs).
